It was 2012, one week before we adventured to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico for the first time. By coincidence, we bumped into our friend Lorenzo in Soho, London ā he had just returned from a two week getaway to Tulum some months back and he said something to us that at the time, didn't quite resonate.
